ABOUT US
Supper and Sound Listening Room Events, L.L.C. was established by Sherah Bassard in 2017 as the parent company for The Blue Room Supper Club, a boutique house concert venue in Austin, TX. After hosting over 24 house concerts in her home in 2017 and 2018, she realized that the limits of her concert environment were inhibiting its growth, and so the venue was closed with the intent to seek an opportunity to open a stand-alone venue elsewhere.
Meanwhile, widely acclaimed vocalist and musician James Robinson joined Sherah Bassard as a partner and part owner of the company, and the management and business aspects of his career were also assumed.
In 2020, due to the constraints of the pandemic, James and Sherah began to look for ways to branch out and adapt to meet the ever evolving entertainment needs of our community:

We established the Amani Room as a pop-up jazz venue offering concerts by professional world class jazz and soul musicians.

We established Smithville Community Music, Arts and Culture as a local entertainment booking company.

UZURI World Market was created as an on-line store that will eventually open as a brick-and-mortar store and a live music cafe.

We plan to re-open the Blue Room Supper Club as a full-service restaurant venue in the near future.
